  1. Here’s some news for the ARC Newsletter:

Joan Forman and her husband Arturo Adame enjoy road trips. They drove Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica, twice. The second time around, the one-way car rental was extremely expensive so they rented a car in Los Angeles, drove to Chicago via a different route (Las Vegas, Route 70 through the Rocky Mountains, Denver, Nebraska, Des Moines, and Chicago) which took five days. In May 2016, they were able to get a one-way car rental for under $400, and drove US Historic Route 80 from Savannah, Georgia, through the South, including the Freedom Trail, to Dallas/Fort Worth, through New Mexico (with a stop at Carlsbad Caverns), Arizona, and along the southern US border to San Diego. The road trips are historic, educational, and fun. In two years, they are going to drive Route 70. Smaller trips are also in the works.

Included is a photo or Arturo and I at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, Arizona. Let me know if you can see it.

    1. Hi Joan
I don’t see the picture. Please resend your article with picture to our email address: aeroretirees@gmail.com. I will forward it on to Linda Stephenson for possible inclusion in the Spring 2017 Newsletter.
