  • Hawthorne High School Career Day 
  • February 20 | In-Person – Hawthorne High School
    • Aerospace needs 2 engineers to speak to local students! If you’d like to inspire students at Hawthorne High School during their career event, please contact Anne Le Anne.H.Le@aero.org.
  • VEX Robotics Volunteers Needed
    • March 15 & 16 | In-Person Chantilly, Virginia
    • Sign up to support VEX robotics competitions in Herndon and McLean, VA on March 15 and 16! More than 20 volunteers are needed to judge, inspect, and score the competitions, no experience needed. Aerospace also needs general volunteers to support team check-in, line management, and various other roles. For more information, or to sign up,  contact STEM@aero.org
  • Houston, TX Girls in STEM Conference – Lead volunteer
    • March 8| In-Person Houston, Texas
    • Would you like to host an explore booth at the Klein ISD Girls in STEM conference? This conference is geared toward girls grades 3 -8 and provides them a place to learn all about STEM through completing a challenge, learning about local STEM organizations, and watching a career panel. Aerospace is seeing people who might be interested in hosting a booth in the explore room (9:30 – noon). Please contact STEM@aero.org for more information. 
  • LA County Science and Engineering Fair
    • March 10, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. | In-person at the Shrine Auditorium
    • Please consider volunteering your time to judge the 2024 LACSEF Fair. It made a world of difference for our young student scientists to meet with professionals like you and get inspired to continue their journey in scientific research. Various volunteer roles are available, but the priority volunteer shift is judge. For other information and details please contact contact STEM@aero.org
    • Help Answer a Future Aircraft Design Engineers Questions
    • We received a request from a high school student designing aircraft models to improve global transportation, like transporting goods and passengers globally at supersonic speeds. If you’d like to support this student by viewing their designs and providing feedback, please let us know by emailing STEM@aero.org
    • Speak with 1st and 2nd grade classrooms in El Segundo, CA
    • Various week dates | Virtual or in-person
    • Sign-up to support 1st and 2nd grade visits at DaVinci schools where classrooms are working on a collaborative project to further investigate the patterns of the sun, moon, stars and explore Earth’s place in the solar system. Through this project, students are exploring the wonders of space through hands-on activities, observations, and creative projects. For more information, and to sign-up, please contact STEM@aero.org.
